Updates To Banking Hours and Service - COVID-19 Update

Given the current and changing situation with COVID-19, Luminus will be making changes to our banking hours and services to ensure continued access for our members while providing the highest level of safety for both the community and our staff. In addition, we will be providing specific in-branch banking hours and support for those most vulnerable to the virus.

Please make note of the following in-branch service changes. We want to thank you in advance for your patience and compassion. Online banking, ATM banking and phone support hours will not be affected.

Limiting in-branch visits
We ask that member-owners try to bank from home as much as possible. The most accessible and convenient options available are banking online and from your smartphone. You can make transfers by email, pay bills, order cheques, purchase a term deposit, transfer money between financial institutions, and complete transactions in a secure environment.

New branch hours

Financial Hub 10:00 am to 2:00 pm – Monday to Friday
Weston Branch 10:00 am to 2:00 pm – Monday to Friday (Until March 23, 2020)

The Weston branch will be temporarily closed as of Monday, March 23 until further notice. In-person banking will still be available at our Downtown branch or online. If you need support, please contact our Member Service team or see other banking options listed above.
Priority banking hours for vulnerable persons
Each day, we will use the first hour of business to prioritize serving the most vulnerable members of our community. We know that many young, healthy people can carry the virus without showing symptoms. So, by prioritizing the elderly and those with compromised immune systems, we can make it possible for more vulnerable member-owners to bank in safety.

Banking by appointment where possible
At Luminus, we're always here to serve you. Due to more of our team members working from home and trying to respect recommendations for social distancing, we do recommend that you book your banking appointment a few days in advance where possible. In that way, we can make sure you get the service you are used to, even during these uncertain times. ATMs are an easy way to access your money
As a credit union member, you have access to the Ding-Free network which includes thousands of local ATMs which are entirely free to use for cash withdrawals and deposits. Find out more about the Ding-Free network here. We recommend being extra vigilant and using hand sanitizer or washing your hands after handling any ATM.
